About Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar
Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar is a leading physician in the fields of liposuction and breast augmentation. Her clinic, Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, utilizes state of the art equipment not found in many hospitals and her team of dedicated nurses and support staff are some of the best in Toronto.
Her résumé details extensive experience. She studied at the University of Toronto for her undergraduate studies then graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1994 with a Doctorate of Medicine. Back at the University of Toronto she finished her residency, after which she continued extensive international travel to keep up to date with the latest developments and techniques in cosmetic surgery.
She was trained by some of the industry's leading surgeons including Dr. Patrick Lillis, one of the world masters in tumescent liposuction, Dr. Giorgio Fischer, the Italian surgeon who invented liposuction with his father, Dr. Lisborg, the president of the Austrian Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Dr. Fournier the famous French surgeon and one of the pioneers of liposuction.
Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar aslo trained with Dr. Robert Jackson, the former president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and current board examiner for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. In 2005, she performed surgery with Dr. Jackson in the surgical centre of the Toronto Cosmetic Clinic.
Dr. Yazdanfar is the first physician in Canada trained in the newest method of laser assisted liposuction, Smartlipo. Smartlipo is considered the least invasive method of liposuction today.
