Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar's Performed Procedures
While Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar is versed in numerous procedures, she generally performs two types of invasive surgery. She has trained with some of the world's leading surgeons in their field.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is the process of enlarging the feamale breast. A silicone, or saline filled sac is placed into the breast to give a fuller and more desirable appearance. Dr. Yazdanfar's signature is scarless breast augmentation. She specializes in the periareolar incision because the skin around the areola heals very cleanly, often leaving very little scarring.
Dr. Yazdanfar can perform either subglandular or submuscular surgery. In subglandular breast implantation, the sac sits above the muscle inside the breast tissue. In submuscular, it is placed partially beneath the chest muscle. The type of surgery performed depends on the patient's body and the professional expertise of Dr. Yazdanfar.
Liposuction and Smarlipo™
According to Cynosure®, the makers of Smartlipo™, Dr. Yazdanfar is the first physician in Canada to perfrom Smartlipo™. She is a pioneer in every sense and was the only one in Canada performing liposuction with this new technique designed to reduce trauma and speed recovery.
Liposuction in general is the process of removing unwanted subcutaneous body fat with the use of a cannula. A small incision is made and the fat is removed with a suction method. Smartlipo™ improves the process by using a laser to first melt the fat before it is removed. This makes the process much less harmful to the body so the recovery time is reduced. It also has the benefit of renewing the collagen under the skin which help to tone and tighten the skin in the area treated.
